We came to Diabaig 40 years ago on our honeymoon and returned with our 2 grown up sons. A lovely house with stunning views & the road & village have hardly changed. Had a wonderful time in this comfortable house despite the weather. Thank you so much.

Our city polluted lungs have been refreshed by crisp, clean loch-side air. Tired eyes revived by the awe-inspiring sight of snow capped mountains and the deepest blue sea. Apparently a budget was announced and England won a world cup qualifier while we were away. We could not have cared less. Do we want to go home? Like the goats on the islands in the bay, we’d be happy to stay and simply enjoy the views. Thank you Tigh Brachen. Until next time..

Boy did we enjoy ourselves! One of the best cottages we have used. All you need to do is just look out the window – everything else is a bonus. Thanks.

Another week in Diabaig has flown by. We’ve had all sort of weather this week, which just makes the scenery every more stunning.

20-27 October 2012, Louise & Mike Pilditch, Worcs
We hit the jackpot for kayaking weather, and have given Loch Torridon a good airing. Very much enjoyed the porpoise synchronized swimming display & the wriggly otter performances. Yesterday we had a fantastic walk up to Coire mhic Fhearchair, glowing autumnal colours and bellowing stags. Today winter has made a dramatic descent over the mountains. We have very much enjoyed enjoyed our week in this lovely, comfortable house. Many thanks to all concerned.

29 Sept – 6 October 2012, Jonathan & Sharon Ainley & Zach the dog, North Yorkshire
A lovely week in this gorgeous setting. Very difficult to leave. Very cosy and comfortable cottage. Have spent most of our time in the cottage in the sun room with binoculars. Hit and miss weather wise but this didn’t spoil a thing. Thoroughly enjoyed our hols. Thanks.

8-28 September, 2012, Ann & Jean-Pierre Pasquier, Switzerland
We have spent a lovely holiday in this very comfortable house – lots of family and friends visited – they loved the place. Mixed weather but enough sun to be able to do longer walks. Fishing in the loch above the house caught 2 large trout. We were very taken with the community centre in Torridon, the arts & crafts exhibition and the warm welcome of everyone we met.

18 – 25 August 2012, The MacDonald family, Coddenham, Suffolk
Very nice house, great location, we’ve even got used to the hair raising drive to Diabaig! Bagged our first munro, which was brilliant!

21 July – 4 August 2012, The Andrews family & Archie the dog, Barnsley, Yorkshire
A truly fantastic fortnight here at Tigh Brachen – the weather was a mixture of sun, cloud and rain – sometimes all at once. We had some nice warm sunny days but whatever the weather we really enjoyed every single minute – brought a boat with us and managed to catch lots of fish from it – especially mackerel. Saw loads of wildlife (most for the first time) and went of some great walks. Will be back next year because the house makes everything perfect!.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here in a lovely cottage in an amazing location. A changeable weather system all week meant we weren’t always able to venture too far, but suffice to say Grace, our 18 month old daughter was introduced to hill walking in style!
