2006

21 October 06, The Anderson Clan, County Durham

Marvellous location, garden great for the dogs.   Cloudy days on Beinns Eighe & Alligin.  Beinn Eighe visitor centre is worth a look.  Hope to return and see the hills around Torridon.  Perhaps some wildlife too (wind and rain put them off!)

14 October 06, The Blyth Family, Fife

Great weather for Oct, one day of rain.  Lovely cottage with great views.  Had a fantastic relaxing holiday.

30 September 06, Dolly, Derbyshire

Cottage is beautiful, weather mixture of all sorts.  Views and scenery are spectacular.  Very restful. Very friendly neighbours.  Lovely to have a log fire and see the sunset from the sun room.

22 September 06, Abbott, Staffordshire

Beautiful peaceful place to stay.  Lovely cottage, fantastic views.  We have had a very relaxing time. Went on a couple of walks (but have been a bit lazy!).  Neighbours are lovely people, very friendly.  Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

9 September 06, Clegg, Hexham Northumberland

Wonderful cottage & location.  Seafood at The Creel, Gairloch is a must.  Completely chilled now.

Very beautiful house and cottage.  I love Scotland!

5-12 Aug 06, Gunn & Simpson, USA

Lovely area, beautifully comfortable home.  Great walks – even in the mists.  We know the sun is out there somewhere!  Very peace-filled location!

28 July – 5 Aug 06, Haven, NL

Thank you for your warm, comfy, well built and beautifully located house.  A real treat.

8-22 July 06, Appleby, Hants

Beautiful cottage, stunning location.  Weather improved through our stay – high 20°c's yesterday. Phew! Mixed luck with fishing – one mackerel, lots of near misses! Walks lovely, plenty of flora & fauna. Recommend Kishorn seafood bar – excellent food.  Thank you for letting us stay. Look forward to returning – roll on next summer…

23 June 2006, The Campbell Family, Bridge of Allan, Stirling

Very relaxing break, wonderful scenery and a very comfortable, well-equipped house. Rained solidly for 2 days, so children are now experts at monopoly! Badachro Inn highly recommended!

17 June 2006, Stirlings, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Fabulous cottage. Wonderful views – mostly good weather. Chilled out but now back to reality. Thanks for the opportunity to stay.

11 June 2006, Visser, Ooztzaan, NL

Very beautiful location and cottage.  We enjoyed sitting in the viewing room.  Several walks in the area.  Swam in the ocean. Visited Skye. Very lovely weather. 25ΊC. Thanks very much.

3rd June 2006, Towers, East Yorks

A very comfy cottage – much enjoyed the views from the house, the walks, the sailing and the friendly neighbours. Thank you very much for the tide timetable & the copies of the suggested walks – excellent idea.

20 May 2006, Kilpatrick, Ayrshire

Tigh Brachen accommodated the six of us very well and the ever presence of hot water was very welcome after hill walks. We failed to reach the promontory opposite the cottage – next time?

13 May 2006, Greathead, Wargrave, Berks

Splendidly impressive surroundings have made a delightful holiday in this quiet and beautiful spot.  Only one mostly wet day, others really hot and sunny, one with bitterly cold wind. Very comfortable house.

6 May 2006, Owen, Derbyshire

Beautiful house, Beautiful Surroundings, “we’ll be back.”

22 April 2006, The Morris & Strong Families, Hexham

A real families holiday. No need to travel far. Walks and wanders from the door. Very nice house and great walks and Views. Have had a wonderful time – 2 days of glorious sunshine at end of week to cap it all off.

I have really enjoyed it here (especially the sea and the rocks and the washed up boat!) I would love to come back here again.  Alice aged 11.

15 April 2006, The Stirlings, Edinburgh

The weather has not been great so no sailing but the beautiful house and views have made up for that. We have all learned to fish from the pier but no catch of the day. We will have to come back

8 April 2006, Melson & Arguimbau Families, Oxfordshire

We have had a real mix of weather but this has not stopped us getting out and about and exploring the area. A fantastic location really peaceful with beautiful views

24th February 2006,    Mr & Mrs Edwards, Merseyside

We have had such a peaceful, relaxing time.  The cottage is beautiful, weather near perfect and good views of otter (at shieldaig)!  Thank you for letting us share your dream.

18 February 2006,    The Cherry Family, Barnsley, West Yorkshire

The house is as beautiful as the location.  We have all had a fantastic time, the weather unbelievably mild & sunny.  We spent most of our time walking and beachcombing & fished every morning from the pier.  Everything has been absolutely spot on.

2005

28 Dec – 4 Jan 2006,    Mark, London

A very restful place.  The footpath round loch to the shieling is rough, but most paths here are clear.  The weather has been generally good – today was magnificent.  The house is lovely – too warm sometimes! A great place to spend new year.

28 Dec – 4 Jan 2006,    Grahame, Kirknewton, West Lothain

A perfect house in a perfect location. A wonderful start to 2006.  It will be hard to keep up this standard.  I admire the vision and hard work that have made this beautiful home. Thank you.

28 Dec – 4 Jan 2006,    Caroline, Lincoln

Thank you so much for providing such a lovely welcoming place.  I have found it truly restorative to my spirit to be able to watch the sea, sky and mountains from here.

28 Dec – 4 Jan 2006,    Liz, Edinburgh

I think my friends have said it all – we have had a wonderful New Year – the house, location & area surpassing all our hopes & dreams for the holiday!  We saw 5 of the wild goats out on the hillside nearby.

21-28 December 2005,    Bethany (aged 11), Macclesfield (& family & Ceri the dog!)

I have really enjoyed this holiday.  We have seen loads of seals they were so sweet.  We went out walking.  It was a long walk to Craig. As we were walking we saw a female red deer. As we were driving we saw buzzards and two herons. Through the house we have seen shags, gulls, oystercatchers. We saw two stags looking down at the house. I have had a lovely time and don’t want to go home.  Thank you for letting me stay.

22-29 October 2005,    The Pewtress family, Warwickshire

We had a lovely time! The weather was great for October! We did a lot of walking and saw Stags and Buzzards! Even an Eagle! On the way to the cottage we saw a white deer!! I’ve never seen one before – they’re beautiful! Thank you ever so much. We all enjoyed ourselves so much! Thanks a lot

My brother and I fished off the jetty and we caught quite a few! The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable! We watched a few DVDs and other nights we played Scrabble and Monopoly. Thank you for a wonderful holiday

8-16 October 2005,    Mr & Mrs Gamble, Wigston, Leicester

We had a fabulous time. The house and location are sublime. Walked our legs off. Even the weather was perfect.
